Our team was out again on June 11, 2022, where we took our cancer control activities to the Presbyterian Church along Charity Road, New Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos. The outreach started around 1 p.m. and featured a detailed session on health education and training on breast self-examination. Screening commenced immediately afterwards, and a few women with positive screening for early cervical cancer changes were promptly treated at our center. Information and education leaflets were handed to the women for further reading and to educate other women in their neighborhood.
The women’s coordinator, Mrs. Daniels, appreciated the team members and thanked the organization for its commitment to community service and improved health for women and girls in Nigeria.
