In the second phase of the community cancer control programs in partnership with the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, our staffs were at Ogba, a highbrow community of Lagos where women were offered cancer education and screening as part of the October Breast Cancer Awareness month held on October 31st, 2021.
Over 50 women directly benefitted from the modest event while about 20 of them were screened for breast and cervical cancer. As usual, all women had access to the Blue-Pink card, guaranteeing that they will have lifelong access to cancer screening services.
